  • Drove to Black Earth yesterday with my mom for the sole purpose of visiting The Shoe Box. My mom is a ridiculously picky, difficult, penny-pincher who buys maybe one pair of shoes each year and hadn't bought new running/walking shoes in 15 YEARS. Thanks to The Shoe Box, she walked out with THREE pairs, including tennies. This is unheard of for my mother. Staff were extremely kind, patient, and helpful. It did take a little while to get someone to help us; however, once we did, that associate was stuck to us like glue until we had found everything we wanted. I wasn't really blown away by the prices; they were fine, but similar to what you can get online or at a place like DSW. My mom also dragged her feet (ha ha get it) for so long that we hit closing time before making it over to the Bargain Room. However, the overall experience, associates, and products were great. Recommend!
