| - My 3 schnauzers take care of their "business" outside when I am at home, but my busy work schedule often means that I am not at home at all during the day. Due to my not being at home during the day, my schnauzers had urinated around my television stand on many occasions over the course of about a year, and (to a lesser extent) in other spots. I had come to accept the fact that I would probably have to buy new carpet because the stains and the horrible smell seemed like they would be impossible to remove. I decided to do a search of carpet cleaners on Yelp to see what, if anything, could be done with my existing carpet. I made an appointment with Keep it Clean to have my carpet cleaned on 4/10/18 at 8 am. The owner of Keep it Clean arrived with his van/equipment about 20 minutes ahead of schedule (always a plus), and started work after telling us what we could expect from the service. He had a chemical that he put on all the spots with dog urine, and he allowed the chemical to soak into the carpet and the surrounding padding/wood for about 30 minutes. Afterward, he proceeded to clean (with a carpet cleaning machine) the areas with the dog urine, along with the rest of the carpet in the house (including several non-urine carpet stains). When he was through cleaning the carpet in all the rooms, he explained to us that the chemical he put on the dog urine was still in the process of degassing the dog urine from the carpet; thus we would probably still smell dog urine for a few hours more, but afterward it would be completely gone. To my surprise, he was exactly right. We turned on our ceiling fans and opened our windows as instructed after the carpet cleaning was done. By 3 PM, the carpet was completely dry, the dog urine smell was completely gone, and the carpet looked brand new (no stains and no smell). I was also surprised when I got the bill because his rates were so reasonable. I would honestly give this service hundreds of stars if I could, and I highly recommend this service to anyone needing carpet cleaning (especially people with pets).
