| - After locating this Bank of America Corporate HQ page, I am not all surprised for this low rating. If there were zero stars, I would choose it. I am so disgusted and dissatisfied with my experience as a Bank of America customer, I was pushed to write my FIRST ever yelp review. With a busy lifestyle and career, I have never given reviews much attention in the past until now where I feel I absolutely have to.
I have my car loan through Bank of America. Beginning-mid December, I set up my account to make a recurring payment online. As I was only a few years into my career when I set my loan up three years ago, my mom offered to co sign on my loan so I could get a 2% interest rate making her primary on the account as well. Last week, my mom received a call saying I hadn't paid the December 23rd or January 23rd payments. This call happened on January 25th. She gave me the number to call back as I showed last paying the end of November payment once I logged in. I was very frustrated as I thought i had set up an automatic deduction to take care of that. With the holidays, I hadn't noticed the difference in a couple hundred bucks not taken out of my account. Anyway, I called and explained this to the B of A representative on the phone and she was very rude and curt and also told me there was NO WAY for me to set up on automatic payment on this account so I must have been mistaken. I told her I know I did and she said that wasn't the case then proceeded to try to take my payment over the phone. I told her absolutely not as my experience with her was negative and so far with everyone and that I would pay it online. This was the evening around 6PM PST(9PM EST). I made the payment later when I got home. The afternoon of January 27th comes and my mom gets another call saying I haven't paid and she said the guy was extremely rude at first. They called the school she taught at in the main office and not even her home that was the number on file. She called me and I was furious knowing I had paid that. I logged in and PAID again and also saw on my account that on 1/26/15 my payment was accepted!!!!!!!! I called a representative again and told him the story and he told me nothing was showing on their end but that everything does take 48 hours to post!!!! So why did they call AGAIN before giving time to post????!!!!!!!!!! In addition, I told him about the automatic billing and got a DIFFERENT answer again as it shows me online that I CAN sign up for recurring payments. He said that is true, different from what I was told two days ago, but that process takes 30-45 days!!!!! So if I did set it up, it may not have processed yet!!!!
I am in disbelief over the practices, unprofessional employees, horrible curt and relentless calls and the differences in information and am most concerned about these practices hurting my mother's and my credit.
I have just heard awful news about Bank of America from so many people, but thought it was all a bit extreme or figured it couldn't be that bad. Let me tell you it is. I have been a member of other banks and organizations and have NEVER had these issues. I will do everything in my power to dissuade and detract anyone from ever being affiliated with this organization. In addition, I will never be a customer once my loan is done and will switch for life.
