  • OMG! Where do I start? I've been going here for years, starting with their old location on Spring Mtn and now here at their new place on Decatur. I've a couple places I like to hit for breakfast, but Mary's Hash House is my favorite. It's not slick and fancy, there's no trendy music, nor do I have the choice of 20 different pancake flavors. What it does have is comfy casual good ol' home cooking, and that's usually what I'm in the mood for. I usually get The Skinny with a side of Super Hash. Darlene and the other server (sorry, can't remember your name!) always bring around a tray of home made jellies to choose from, which I love! Mary, the owner, is often busy in the back doing much of the cooking herself, yet still finds time to come out and ask patrons how they're doing. Now some people might complain that sometimes it takes a bit longer to get your food. I don't consider this a drawback because to me, this shows that most of the stuff is cooked to order and coming out fresh just for me. That's the way I like it and that's why I keep coming back.
