| - Came for the half-price steaks during happy hour. I actually liked the food I got quite a lot. My salad was fresh and plentiful, the asparagus that came with my steak was deliciously seasoned and grilled just right. The steak was a nice size, cooked a bit more well-done than I ordered (I'd asked for M.R., got Med.), was very tasty nonetheless.
My friend didn't fare as well, as his Filet was definitely over-done, but still flavorful. He, too, enjoyed his salad quite a lot. I had water with my meal, as their wine is too expensive, and we'd had a couple elsewhere, anyway.
My three-star verdict is based on three things: four-star food, almost-four-star service, and two-star honesty. The half-price steaks are a big gimmick in the sense that no one in their right mind would pay $42 for the NY Strip I had and be happy about it, and certainly not $59 for the Filet my friend had. At half-price, they were just about right. So the take-away is that you should NOT order steak unless it's happy-hour, because you will feel you've been SCREWED. And by the way, the argument that everybody charges stupid prices for steaks in Vegas doesn't fly, because it's STILL stupid :)
