  • Good quality Mexican food in a strip mall setting in north Scottsdale. Ever in search of true authentic Mexican food on our annual visits to Scottsdale, we decided to head north and try this spot after seeing them on a list of top 10 authentic Mexican restaurants. The large space situated in the corner of a large shopping area with a Safeway and a Target was clean and inviting inside although not very busy when we stopped for lunch on a rainy Sunday in February. Our server was friendly and attentive and helped guide our choices. My wife selected the avocado salad (3 grilled avocado halves, greens and some grilled shrimp) which was good. I opted for the chicken enchiladas which were stuffed with lots of juicy roasted chicken but were a bit on the bland side as was the accompanying rice. Unfortunately nothing too special. Bottom line: Good quality at a reasonable price but alas, my search continues....
