This was my first time to experience what I had always heard was a great place in CLT. The food was very good, nice selections of beers, comfy patio and the wait staff friendly on this fall, perfect weather day. I was enjoying being with friends I had not seen in awhile.
However, I had to give 2.5 stars as the dog friendly atmosphere ruined it for me and the two other friends I was with. Two guests each brought their dogs. One lap dog was placed on the table, the petting of the dog sent dog hair flying through the slight breeze into my food and when a loud car, or the fire truck left its station or someone dropped a fork the dogs would go off barking in a high pitch shrill. Almost as shrill as the owners trying to calm their respective dogs.
While I love dogs myself, I simply don't enjoy them when I'm in a restaurant atmosphere and certainly don't want their fur in my food nor their bums sitting on the menus that another guest will touch in the few next minutes.
