Public, no frills golf course. But, challenging layout. Beautiful rolling hills. Varied terrain. The greens in July were well-maintained and soft enough to stick. Some fringe areas had been either over-irrigated or unkept. Geese were actively grazing near a pond. I was pleasantly surprised at the private, quiet layout and natural beauty of the course. I golfed a Tuesday afternoon, and encountered no slow play. This course is probably not for the early beginner, as some fairways were tight with woods on both sides. Clubhouse staff was friendly, with an old 50s lodge feeling to the upstairs. Hot dog and cold beer hit the spot on a hot day. Hope you enjoy Wicked Woods as much as I did.
Updated: played WIcked Woods again, and was equally pleased. I'm nervous about leaving too positive review cuz I think it's a hidden gem. Definitely going back, as there is plenty of challenge and beauty.
