| - We picked the perfect day to go. For a first time I would recommend going early, maybe on the weekend like we did, and buying your tickets on line. The on-line purchase saved some money but I'm not quoting prices because I don't know how durable any of the offers are. Since the on-line ticket is for the entire day you don't have to limit yourself to being there at any particular time. Still, I'd recommend early to avoid crowds. The literature says that the pods hold 40 people and I guess that is great if you have a large party. But when we arrived at the 11:30 start up time they put 6 or so people in each one so there was plenty of space to move around, get views and take photos from a number of perspectives.
The pods are self leveling and the ride is very smooth. It takes a half-hour to make the circuit so there is very little feeling of motion. For people who might be reluctant to go up high in a glass container there is practically no sensation of height. My wife is deathly afraid of high places, but she had no fear at all even at the top of the ride.
The closed circuit TV is coordinated with your pod so what they are telling you really applies to your location, height or view. The downside was that they were also playing music, which was fine, but it was competing with the TV tour guide and was all mashed together. I can only imagine how difficult to hear the tour guide it would be if there were 40 people in there.
But the view was spectacular and for a stress free half hour I would highly recommend it. I'll give them credit, too, that the glass was very clean so views and photos weren't obstructed with smears and hazy film.
One tip if you have read this far and are unfamiliar with the area. Even though it has a Las Vegas Blvd address don't approach the high roller through Harrah's parking. It is a torturous and confusing route. Approach from the east off Koval to Winnick. Also, there is a separate High Roller valet which is very handy.
