So was in vegas for the new years eve timeframe and was looking for a place to grab a dinner reservation with ease while still being solid good food. In vegas there are tons of options from cheap all the way to super bougie but I was in the mood for something in the middle of both of these extremes. After a bit of searching, I realized I had not seen the Bellagio fountains show yet despite being in vegas for a few days so I looked for options right near here and ran into Mon Ami Gabi which I have been to in other states but noted it was conveniently located across the street. I was able to quickly make a reservation and was able to snag a patio seat so that we got full show of the hustle and bustle of the street as well as the famous watershows from the Bellagio fountains.
First thing is first, this joint does not allow you to receive points from the casino branded points system just in case you are curious. The spot is a non-pretentious French restaurant and have all of the menu items that are stereotypical French cuisine. The patio is also not cold with the heat lanterns they have out there so no need to fear. Our server was completely friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal and was quick to bring the bottle of vino we ordered. I went with the "prime steak frites" menu which offers a good sized piece of protein with your choice of topping whether it be Dijon, classique, Roquefort, etc. There are plenty to float everyone's boat without breaking the bank either. I also ordered the escargots. They offer a free warm loaf of bread at the beginning of the meal which is DELICIOUS along with the accompanying butter. If you order the escargots make sure to leave some of the bread behind to dip it into the garlic/pesto like deliciousness. The escargots were good and while not truly authentic still a good version of this dish. Portions were good as well and as mentioned the bread goes perfect with the sauce. The steaks came out not too far afterwards and as mentioned massive. They come with French fries that are made well and the steaks are cooked to the right temperature as asked. The quality of the dish is on point and at such a competitive price point too.
All in all, a good experience and right for what I was looking at with the Bellagio show. Definitely worth checking out.
