  • Visited Fri March 30 for a manicure. Thank-you for being open on Good Friday! The manager Tony explained that gels are the same as shellac, I never really understood what the difference was. Lux just opened a 2nd location at Bathurst/Steeles that is much larger than this location. Tony manages to remember most of the customers just based on memory and a paper appointment book impressive! Pros Hundreds of colours to choose from, customers mainly choose from the 4 binders. Fast service, can feel a bit rushed at times. Equipment is individually sterilized and opened from a package which is something that you should be looking for in a nail salon. Cons The technicians don't have nametags and are talking in viet, I guess it's a part of the nail bar experience. Walk-ins rarely accommodated, 95% of customers make an appointment. Prices aren't listed on the wall, refer to the printed postcard. Cash and debit only, no credit card. Protip - Mornings until 3pm best times to make an appointment. Damage - $15 for (tax included, before tip).
