  • I had forgotten about Golden Spoon until I found myself in HOT AZZ Phoenix for a conference. Bunny came out for the weekend to hang out with me on the companies dime of course. I mean Phoenix is close and cheap to fly to. We had a car, hotel and pre diem eat day on the company so why not do a mini vacay on the cheap...right? Right! So anywho we were out and about and I of course seem to have developed this thing for buying shoes when I'm on vacay and have limited space in my luggage. So we had just BOTH scored some shoes at Nordy's in the same strip mall when eye-spied this place. Ryan: PULL OVER, PULL OVER lets get some cream its hot as a jalapeños cooch out here! Bunny pulls over and we both hop out. Sitting in a car in the summer is like trying to commit suicide out here. So we were both happy to get out the car. I perused the flavors. Bunny didn't see any thing that struck his fancy so he passed. I saw some sort of salted caramel they had and got a mini with almonds. This place wasn't at all busy considering how hot it was. Once my cream was in the cup I paid and we left. By the time I reached the car I was licking the cream from around the rim of the cup because it was so hot. Boy I almost lost my dessert in the Desert heat. It was quite GOOD! Or it was just hot and anything cool was good but either way I enjoyed it! I think there is one near by somewhere that I have seen passing by but not really paying attention. I should stop there once in a while. They don't have as many flavors to select from like the other places but it was good and I'm glad I found something I liked.
