| - I'm a child of the Las Vegas Strip Wet 'n Wild, and that's a high bar, by comparison. Still, this place is fun - especially going on the week that school started. There were no lines, and the heat wasn't too bad.
Of course, everything is smaller, by comparison, but it's still nice to have a water park available on a hot summer day.
Some of the rides were nothing special. Some were a riot. I forget all their names, but the yellow slide (that's grouped with 3 other color-labeled slides) was great fun. And the big blue one (on the opposite side of the park, where up to 4 people share a raft) throws you up a wall where you're convinced you'll fall right out for a few seconds... well, that's one of the best water rides I've ever been on.
By comparison, the blue slide (again, grouped with those other colored slides) was the worst. It was slow, so you're convinced you'll end with a light drop. Nope. We came out of the end so slow, so that hitting the water was such a dramatic change in momentum that the tube slammed hard - and so did we. My chin smashed into my sister's back (mini whip lash), and I bit my cheek. Bah!
And I love rides with big drops, so I went on the "der stuka" equivalent. I'm not claustrophobic, but that enclosed tube coupled with the rush of water made me temporarily feel like I was suffocating. Yikes!
Then there's the mini wave pool and "lazy river" - again, small in comparison, but fun enough.
Go on a slow day with a coupon, and you'll have a great time!
