| - What took me so long to dine at this place!
Delmonico definitely is my one of my fav steakhouse in Vegas. Original plan was going to Harvest in Bellagio however there was an incident on the strip, so here we were, detoured to Caesar Palace. We were seated quickly on a Friday late night, woohoo, it's gonna be a good night.
I like their menu, it was short and sweet only 2 pages, took us only 2 mins to pick our food.
We had applewood bacon, barbecue shrimp, lobster bisque, gumbo, bone in filet which was the house special of the day and also rack of lambs with chimichurri sauce.
The applewood bacon was indeed a thick cut of pork belly, which was quick greasy, the flavor is good but it was so oily I couldn't have more than one bite, I didn't care much about it.
The star of the night was the barbecue shrimp, highly recommend by the waiter, glad we took his advice, it was so delish! It was not the usual bbq sauce that u had before, this New Orleans style bbq sauce had a little tarted, smoky, spice, touch of sweet. Oh man... I literally licked the plate! Oops ... Not very lady like!
Lobster bisque was another surprise, it was rich and velvety with punch of flavors, came with chunks of lobster meats... It was perfect.
Comparing to the lobster bisque, gumbo was just ok, I was a little disappointed Coz gumbo was such a authentic plate represent Cajun creole cuisine. Besides the saltiness, there's not much flavor on the plate.
Oh yes...
