It's hit and miss when it comes to teachers here. The two Indian teachers who taught my son could be difficult to deal with. The Chinese and Phillipino teachers, however, are very good, show more warmth and are overall easier to communicate with. The hygiene is not the best. After regular school hours during extended care, they leave children's bags and clothing piled on the floor where shoes are also kept. In sharp contrast, the school my son currently attends (Yips) ALWAYS requires bags and jackets to be hung on hooks. Shoes go in a separate cubby on the floor. All children must have indoor and outdoor shoes. Another tip: the director is not very hands on. He sometimes called my son by the wrong name. My son's current principal is very hands on. I'm amazed that she knows so much detail about each child generally, and also a lot of detail about what they said or did on any particular day. She is always visible and available during drop off and pick up, whereas the MindTech director was often not at school during these times. I don't think MindTech is the best montessori preschool in the area but for those who live nearby, it's convenient and your child will learn something, just not as much as they would at a better school such as Yips.
