| - This review goes out to "Peter" in the Bistro right behind the main lobby. In February of this year, 2014, I was working late in the Bistro at one of the white quartz high top tables. A man sitting at another table stared at me for quite a while. At some point later in the evening, even though I appeared quite busy, the man made his way over to my table. With repeated requests to allow me to complete my work, I packed my computer to leave.
Of course he followed me towards the elevator. This is where Peter comes in. I kept letting the man know that I did not need to be walked to my room, he kept coming!!! Peter came around the corner towards the elevators in the north tower and saved me. He had been observing the gentleman's behavior. He informed the man that he had not paid his bar tab. The man was not happy with Peter and actually made some rude reference to Peter, like "you asshole."
The man begged me not to take the elevator of course which I did, alone because of Peter. Thank you Peter.
Today, November 15, 2014, I again returned to the Courtyard Toronto Downtown. And guess what, loyal Peter still works at the Bistro and guess what? He remembered me and the incident!! What a kind and professional person, a credit to the hotel and now a great friend!!
