| - I'm not happy being a nay-sayer, but neither hubby or I enjoyed Rollin Smoke. We were feeling a yen for BBQ after seeing Lyle Lovett & His Big Band over at the Smith Center, so I Yelp-ed Barbecue and the rave reviews for Rollin Smoke made our choice easy. We arrived a little after 10pm and were told that they were out of meatloaf, yams, cornish hen, burnt ends, and beef ribs. Since they advertise that they're open until midnight, I thought this was rather extensive a list of food to be out of. We ordered a combo plate of brisket, chicken, hot links, pulled pork and pork ribs, along with sides of cole slaw, corn bread and corn fritters. Hubby had the brisket and chicken, neither of which filled him up... kinda small portions of both. My ribs were tough - not fall off of the bone tender at all. The pulled pork and links were both OK, not anything special. The highlight, in my opinion, was the corn bread. I'd go back for more of that... it almost tasted like it had a coating of honey butter, which was delish. Hence, the 2 stars.
