| - The one star is for the kind and thorough job that Dr. Johnson and the ER nurse, Chris, did. And, the attentiveness of one nurse once I was admitted. Otherwise, my stay at this hospital was a nightmare! A real nightmare! The worst offense was not getting my morning meds until 4 pm, and only then after I insisted that someone address it, IMMEDIATELY. I was admitted at 4 am and it took them 12 hrs. to get my morning meds to me. By then, my blood pressure was 161+ and I had a terrible headache (not sure if that was from the lack of meds or because my IV beeped non-stop for over 3 hrs. When it's that high they are supposed to re-check it in an hour. Didn't happen. In fact, it wasn't checked again at all. I called for help every 30 min. because of the beeping IV, and each time I was told the nurse would be there in a few min. After the third time, they didn't even answer the call (at this point it's been 1 1/2 hrs.). Then, the tech came in, turned the IV off and said the nurse would be there shortly. She showed up 2 hrs. later, grinning real big with "Did you need me?" Why bother now? I was on nothing by mouth so it mattered that I have those fluids. When she came back into my room, another nurse accompanied her and was so patronizing you'd have thought she was treating a 4-year-old. So offensive! I hope to never be a patient here again and will do my best to see to it!
