I bought a Samsung refrigerator and bought the extended warranty. In Dec 2015, I had a mechanical issue and called them to honor the warranty. The first of their appliance warranty companies came out and identified the issue as a mechanical failure of the lower freezer drawer. That company confirmed that the part had been ordered and it would arrive in 3-4 weeks. After 5 weeks, I called Lowe's and was told that they did not approve the order because they deemed this to not be a mechanical failure. After what seemed like 20 calls to Lowe's customer care, they finally told me the order wasn't approved because the company input the part number incorrectly. Seems like a simple fix, but not for Lowe's. They wouldn't fix it. So they told me they would need to send another warranty company out to my house but on my dime....The second company came out and said the same thing. In fact, the guy was there for 5 minutes and said it was an easy fix and the part would be ordered. After a few weeks, I called Lowe's and was told that the part wasn't approved because they couldn't determine that the technician actually verified it was a mechanical failure....? What?!!! So after another laborious discussion with Lowe's CC, I was granted a magical 3rd wish of having yet the 3rd appliance tech come to my house. They arrived on Feb 10. I recorded the entire conversation per the approval of the technician and was told this was a no-brainer. As of April 11, I am still waiting for my part. What a joke. I am not sure why Lowe's even offers extended warranties. Their motto seems to be "deny everything". I would not suggest buying an extended plan from Lowe's and will not buy anything else from them going forward. Home Depot matches their pricing anyway and there is no way possible HD could ever provide such shitty service.
