  • I found this place because of all the good reviews on yelp. I brought my Dog in about 3 or 4 times and she looked great. I take good care of my dog so her mats are always minimal. I instructed the groomer, I think her name was Olga, to shave those mats off because when mats are brushed out, it's challenging and very painful for the dog. To my surprise, every time I picked up my dog I was ecstatic to hear that she didn't have to shave the mats because she uses a "special conditioning detangler that she creates herself to painlessly comb/brush out the mats." I was always surprised and happy to hear this so I always gave her a generous tip. However, the last time I brought her in was a disaster. Once again I told the groomer to shave the mats because my dog was heavily matted after a week at the beach. Again, to my pleasant surprise the groomer told me she didn't have to shave the mats because she used her "special detangling conditioner." This time I was suspicious so when I got home, I pulled my dog's fur apart to examine her skin. She's very fluffy so I had to separate and part her fur. To my horror, my dog had red and bloody skin all over her body where the fur had been RIPPED out. I called the groomer, the owner called me back to find out what happened and I demanded a refund. She said she would call me back, but she didn't. Instead the receptionist called me and said I could pick up my refund. The receptionist and groomer denied my dog was injured even though I showed them what they did to her. They refunded me only the cost of the groom, which I said was ridiculous because I also wanted my generous tip refunded. They proceeded to get nasty with me even more, but eventually gave me the refund. I took my dog to the vet who confirmed that the groomer injured my dog and caused the redness & bleeding. I called the humane society, animal control, and the City of Henderson in an effort to get their business licensed revoked. What is sad is no one could help me. The City told me that I could file a complaint, but dogs are only seen as personal property. They should be shut down for abusing animals, I'm sure mine is not the only one. If you take your dog here, be sure to inspect your dog. I think the reason the groomer did this, instead of shaving which is easier & less time consuming for her, is because she wanted bigger tips. I know I tipped her well because I thought she did something spectacular. My vet recommended me to a safe and loving groomer named Liz at Warm Springs Dog Grooming.
