Gotta agree, it's a 3.5 place.A-OK at best.
Negative points to Rogers for ruining the original name...how much do you LOVE yourself if you don't even give credit to the namesake of this establishment. Rogers Centre? Why not the Rogers Skydome?!?! Would that have been so hard? It's ok. Anyone from Toronto from back when the Jays won their back2back titles will NEVER call it anything other than the Skydome... if you do you're a sell out HA!
Some new corporate sponsors have given it that more commercial feel that many fields have, but some more greenery inside wouldn't hurt it.
From the outside Rogers Centre (Skydome) looks Like a giant turtle shell OR the technodrome from Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles. Remember the cartoon? That was like shredder and Krangs hideout!
Price for a baseball game are uber cheap and if you can stand waiting for the game to start you can nab week day tickets off a scalper for 50% off. Also, if you are unsure where to sit and on a budget, know that the 500 level are still great seats!
Introduction of non-alcoholic sections is bogus, especially when you're group of Fraternity brothers from University gets seated here....negative points Rogers. I understand the need to keep the place family friendly, but between the high prices and the non-alcoholic sections, it's almost as if RC is against making money on alcohol as people will not drink the same amounts as they would normally.
I also read a stat recently that puts this place in the top %'s for most expensive on beer and on concessions... Wouldn't be hogtown if our sports team ownership wasn't greedy like little PIGGY's!!!
