I have only had the delicious higher end burgers from the Steer and Wheel. During Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week, the Steer and Wheel catered the beer dinner that I attended at The Grist House. I thought the concept of a curated food truck beer dinner was innovative, so I had to check it out. (Besides the fact that I love beer dinners)
Boy, did Steer and Wheel really crush it. I can't get over the Main course of Shrimp and Grits. Having lived in the south, I am always on a mission for great grits. And they hit the mark. The shrimp was not overly breaded and really complimented the cheesiness of the grits without being overbearing. All of the courses were done to perfection with flavors that were accentuated with the paired beers and vice versa. I like how The Steer and Wheel stepped out of the truck (See What I did there??) and left the bun behind.
