  • Will not ever go back or recommend this place to anyone who is a dog lover and who is trying to adopt or rescue dogs. I went to Petsmart to adopt a little chihuahua, and the Home Fur Good ppl were there, not all the staff or volunteers are incompetent, but when I went this past Sunday they denied me adopting a dog, they came up with lame excuses for the dog not to go home with us and recommended we actually go to the shelter and look for a better selection. So we were sad not to go home with dog we wanted but thought we might find one at the actual shelter. The following day me and my family went there, and we were met with the same rude, judgmental and incompetent knowledge. They asked us a couple of brief questions, then went to the back to see if they had a dog to fit our criteria. But when they came back she said she didn't have any dogs that would be right for us. At this point I was completely frustrated and bewildered. Seeing my son and wife completely sad, we left before I said anything rude. I just don't understand why they call themselves a dog rescue and adoption place when they don't actually let you adopt. I never knew adopting animals from places like this would be so hard. Wouldn't you want those pets out the cages and concrete floors and into a warm loving home where the dog will get all the attention it needs??? I've been a dog owner for the last 15 yrs and have never heard or been part of something heartbreaking. Shame on you Home Fur Good for keeping dogs hostage, and not being fully educated on the behavior and characteristics of great dogs.
