| - I've been to a total of 8 different locations to have peels, dermabrasion, and dermaplaning done. I think I'm capable of giving an honest review at this point and knowing when someone does a good job.
Here's the run down. First I purchased a groupon deal for The Works and booked my appt easily online. Her website is very easy to navigate but the only downside is under SERVICES and BOOK APPOINTMENT they don't correlate well. Meaning she offers dermaplane, micro needling, etc under services but when you're booking the apt you don't know if you're booking The Works, Peel Away, or something else. And the services under booking do not describe what they are. That is my only complaint is that you need to call to get the information but once you've been there a few times it's not that hard to know what you want and book it. The only clear booking is BOOK YOUR COUPON APPT which unless you're special, it's easy to tell which one you click when you have a Groupon.
I book my appt and get my confirmation email and I believe I received a confirmation text as well. You even get reminder emails and text messages within a day or two of your appt so you don't forget which is nice.
You go down there which I will say it is a huge parking lot. In that plaza a lot of stores sit, and a lot of those stores happen to be salons, nail places, etc. You'll look for Sachi salon and go inside, down the hallway to the right and eventually you'll find Dunia's Peels and Products.
Now for the services, I got the Works Facial the first time around which is lovely steam on your face, a cleansing, extractions, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and a chemical peel. I think whenever you do a chemical peel you should always do dermaplaning or microdermabrasion to take off the dead skin. It makes the chemical peel work better in my opinion, plus if you do a dermaplaning you don't peel as much from the chemical peel.
Second visit I did a Pick Me up which is cheaper than The Works and involves a quick cleanse, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, and a peel. The reason I got the Pick Me Up instead of the works is because Dunia was very honest with me. Most places are about sell sell sell. I tried to get The Works but she told me I didn't need to pay for all of the add ons as my skin looked nice so a Pick Me Up would be fine.
I will say it is rare to find someone honest enough to not tell you that you need more than you really do just to make a buck. That honesty right there on top of the fact my skin looked so amazing my coworkers were complimenting, were the two things that sold me to return to her. I can't wait to go back.
