Granted with a seafood menu that changes daily, due to availability, it certainly is a fine find for Phoenix. However we had some mixed reviews.
We both had the spicy seafood chowder. It was extremely good with plenty of seafood, had a nice favorful taste but not necessarily "spicy", but that's our taste and we would most definitely order it again. Just don't be put off by the "spicy" label. The bread is awesome.
I had the Ahi tuna and my partner had the whaoo. Perhaps it was simply an off day but the tuna they served me was full of membrane (grizzle). Out waiter saw the piece after he served it and was very quick to remove and replace it. The sauce that accompanied it was tasteless and couldn't figure out what it was or suppose to be. I had to request wasabi which typically always comes with ahi. The garlic mashed potato's were a garlic lovers dream. Now to the wahoo. We were surprised to see it offered in the desert as we always order it when on the Yucatan. If you haven't had the pleasure it is a firm white fish with a distinct taste. Unfortunately, this piece was overcooked and thus dry.
So perhaps an off day for the kitchen and with that much fresh fish combined with the length of time they have been in operation, we will definitely give it another try.
