| - I stayed at the Mirage on a recent trip to Las Vegas. We were able to get a good deal by calling the hotel and booking vs. booking online or through Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel, it was pretty late but we still had our room! We told front desk we were in town celebrating a few birthdays and they were nice enough to give us a free upgrade!
The upgrade gave us a great view of the strip. And, we were able to see the famous Volcanoes of the Mirage erupt a few times! The hotel was pretty easy to navigate. Unlike some of the other ones where you get lost and don't know where you're going. The walk from the garage to the front desk to our rooms wasn't too far.
The room we had was pretty spacious, and new. This is a pretty old hotel, but it didn't seem like it from inside the hotel room. There were nice flat screen TVs, an iPhone Dock, new panels and drawers, nice mirrors in the bathroom. There wasn't too much of a cigarette smoking issue in the casino, and we didn't smell it from where we were. However, we were on the 22nd floor.
The beds were nice, but a little lumpy. They were soft but you kind of also fell in.. in the middle. The sheets were nice and clean, and soft. I liked staying at the Mirage because of its location. You're almost in the middle of everything. If I were to go to Las Vegas again, I would not have a problem staying here!
Quick Tip, if you're looking for parking at the Mirage park on the third floor! That's where there is the least amount of cars!
