| - Delicious! We got the Eggs Benedict, truffle egg sandwich, and shrimp grits.
Eggs Benedict had a nice, tangy hollandaise sauce that was balanced with a tomato slice, served also with thin slices of turkey and spinach. Side note: love watching the egg yolk drip down when it's cut into. Can never get enough of #yolkporn, amiright?
My truffle egg sandwich was heavenly. When you think about it, sometimes the hardest dishes to get right are the most common ones. Who hasn't had a million egg sandwiches already? Yet every aspect of their egg sandwich was on point. Crispy but soft bread, yummy buttery scrambled eggs, bacon, & mushrooms were all so individually good. It's making me drool right now!
The shrimp n grits harkened back to my North Carolina days. It was served with bacon, and two over medium eggs (but looked more like over easy eggs). If I had one complaint it would be the slightly undercooked eggs.
Two of the dishes came with roasted potatoes that had crispy skin dusted with a cheese-dust/powder.
We sat outside, had our coffee, and got there early enough where we didn't need to wait (8:30 on a Sunday, and it was filling up fast). The staff was super friendly too, and it was an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
If you drive there, free parking is available at the parking deck one block down from the restaurant.
