Hexx has such a fantastic atmosphere with the patio being right across from the Bellagio water show and underneath the Paris' Eiffel Tower but the food quality is two stars at best. I reserved a table for 8 for a friend's birthday party and the experience was disappointing. The drinks were probably the second best part of the visit next to the sights, the drinks were shareable and had 8-10 shots and a pretty presentation. I wasn't able to try one so I opted for a virgin strawberry mojito which was pretty good. We ordered a variety of food from the guacamole to pizza and everything was pretty bland. The burgers had stale buns, the pizza was way too greasy, the pasta was bland. I ordered the mushroom pappardelle and I shouldn't have let our server talk me into adding shrimp because I couldn't stomach any of it and even though I literally didn't take one bite of the shrimp, she didn't ask what the problem was or even apologize for talking me into something I knew I didn't want. Adding garlic bread to your pasta costs extra and wasn't worth it. At the end of our dinner they came out with a tiny piece of cake for our friend and had the candle sitting on the plate all by itself so naturally the candle blew out and fell over before reaching my friend and the server just said I'm sorry, worst presentation ever and ran off. It was lame to say the least. Then two tables over we see a beautiful birthday treat come out with three well lit candles so that was even more upsetting. We ordered another dessert, the warm cookie Sunday and it was awfully dry and too thick to be considered a cookie. More like a dry chocolate chip cake. Just awful. For a place known for sweets, the desserts couldn't have let me down more. I won't return to Hexx and I will not recommend it. Also, the cherry on top, I came home and food positioning commenced. The papardelle DID NOT sit well.
