  • I usually tend to rate places higher than other posters...but I seem to be the opposite with this one! would not call this a 5 star experience. I attended Fabulous for a pedi and Shellac manicure, using a daily deal coupon. Having researched the regular prices, this place is a bit pricier than the mani/pedi spas I usually attend, and as such expected a higher caliber service...and I can't say I was blown away. Here's the breakdown: the shop: This is where this place excels. Has a very nice "girly" feel to it. Everything is pink and white and pretty. Very open and airy feeling. Comfy seats. Nice cup of tea with my services. staff: the girl who was doing my nails was very young, and frankly, did not seem very impressed to be there. She wasn't rude...but this wasn't service with a smile either. services: this is where I expected more. The shellac mani was very thickly applied (thicker than when I have previously tried at other spas) and the french tip was not all that neat (ie - some crooked/uneven white lines). The massage was pretty weak, as was the callous removal. All this being said...the products used smelled amaaaaaazing (chocolate foot mask and lotion). So overall: nice place, nice products; not so great experience with the esthetician or the quality of service. In my opinion, not worth the full price. I would consider giving it another chance if another "deal" comes up.
