| - Upon first glance, this store looks like a regular Loblaws supermarket. It's not until you stare long enough at the sign that you realize something is missing... the "S"!
This Loblaw is at the top of a very steep hill on Yonge, so if you're walking (which I have done numerous times), bring those walking shoes. The store is a weird mix of a Whole foods slash LoblawS mix. It's actually a little confusing, because it looks like a Loblaws but more classy, if that makes sense.
There are a lot of fresh foods, soups and salad area. The bakery, unlike regular Loblaws are made from Ace Bakeries. They have a lot of baked goods from outside companies, such as cakes and tarts from Dufflet and Patisserie Monaco Bakery.
Apparently Loblaw is affilated under a different brand than Loblaws and No Frills, so technically they are sister stores. This Loblaw doesn't have furniture or clothes, it's strictly grocery (though it does have a pharmacy, and a floral section). The fresh food section and bakery is worth checking out, and the prices are reasonable.
