  • Referred to as a 3 star business hotel. I guess I can see it being a good hotel if you are here just for 1 night and spend most the time out of the hotel in business meetings. But it is also located right by the hospital and this is why we stayed here for 3 nights / also need to work from the business centre and from the room with internet... Biggest default - There is no room service! You have to ASK and authorize to have delivery food brought to your room... Hotel is extremely basic. This is annoying for patients recovering from the hospital or busy professionals working from hotel room. There aren't very many good places in close walking distance, especially after 9pm! Rooms - very small. smallest hotel room I have ever seen. Elevators and hall carpets are old. Bathrooms - decent size, but toilets flush very loud - can hear from other rooms too. Door is a sliding door that is tough and loud, and not very private. Internet - have to pay $10 per 24 hours per computer... better to just tether from your cell phone Over all it is pretty quiet. Housekeeping comes often. Conceirge is very friendly and tries to help how they can. Parking is $15 per night Location is ok, not that great. One block over and one block south is sketchy. One block west is the busy mall. You cant meet basic needs without walking at least 3 blocks. The hotel is pretty expensive... so I have heard and read online so I thought we got a deal for $122 per night before taxes based on 3 nights ($414 total without parking nor internet, no breakfast or anything). Now, I then see their personal website offers deals from $79 a night! Was pretty mad to see that. Booking.com is not a very good site, I used to be all for them but almost 100% of the time I have been disappointed or mislead. When we stayed here, on my day of operation they ran a fire alarm staff evacuation test. I have no idea why they needed to use the loud speaker and alarm for a good 20 minutes, at least once that day... So what does this hotel have going for it? The beds. The bed and pillows are so comfortable. Strange that they don't use fitted sheets though and dont use dovet covers - instead there are two sheets wrapping the quilt... The hotel is clean, allergen and fully smoke free. Housekeeping is pretty consistant. Check out is noon. All of these are great for being a patient at St.Michaels hospital. Its in walking distance but also cabs will take you back and forth for about $6.
