| - Originally posted on FB in June. Update at the bottom. We moved to Henderson from the SW part of Vegas a few years ago and wanted to find a gyno close to us. So, where do I begin??? Every single time I've been, there has been a problem with the staff. Our insurance covers 100% of the costs for my visits and even though the staff knows this, they always try to find a way to make you pay something. She really needs to make some major changes or she will go out of business. I was going to have my hormone and thyroid levels checked and made the appointment for the same day our daughter had her first visit since it was only a blood draw. They didn't have the necessary stuff to do the blood draw, so they said they would call me to reschedule. They never did, so I called back and made another appointment for today. They called and changed the appointment time three different times and when we got there, we sat for over 30 minutes before they informed me that they didn't even know what I was there for. I mean, ARE U KIDDING ME? Then, ONCE AGAIN, they tried to find something for me to pay for. They did this to another patient today as well. They told her she owed a balance from last year, but never sent her a bill so she had to unexpectedly pay more money. I've never been to an office so unprofessional and unorganized. After almost an hour, they try to give me a paper and tell me they CAN'T EVEN DO THE BLOOD DRAW there because it has to be frozen! OK! Why not tell me that when I asked about having these two things checked? They already billed our insurance for this blood draw that was never done, but didn't know why I was there today??? I even had to ask for my pap results because they never told me anything. We ended up walking out after I said a few choice words! I should've known not to go here because her Google and Yelp reviews are HORRIBLE, but at the time, she was the only doctor in Henderson taking new patients without having to wait 2-3 months. Now we know why there wasn't a wait! So this is your warning! Don't become a patient. She will nickel and dime you and not even know why you're there in the first place!
***Update 9-16-2016 We just received a bill for $27.00 for a copay PLUS interest. Keep in mind that our preventative/well visits are 100% covered by insurance and requires NO COPAY! When our daughter had her first visit that was mentioned above, it was to go over birth control since they said she was too young to do an exam. We even said why we were bringing her while on the phone making this appointment! Dr. Burns said she would bill it as well visit even though she didn't need to do anything. Our insurance was billed well over $300 for a SICK VISIT instead of a well visit so now, Dr. Burns is trying to squeeze more money out of us saying that it wasn't a well visit and a copay applies! Ummmmm.......NO! $300+ to talk with us for 10 minutes and YOU STILL TRY TO COLLECT MORE FROM US?!?! You charged our insurance over $100 for bloodwork I NEVER HAD! You actually owe our insurance company money! I will be calling them about that now! So.....we went today to find out why she billed us this copay in the first place and her staff as always was EXTREMELY RUDE and said they weren't doing anything about it. I'll laugh when she shuts down***
