| - Day 1 of my Pittsburgh trip reviews start where it all began, at the hotel.
A friend and I spend two nights at this hotel as we spent the weekend in town for a Pirates game (my friend is a diehard San Francisco Giants fan, and the Giants were playing the Pirates that weekend). If you're spending some time in the Pittsburgh area, this is a great hotel to book that is both easy on your wallet as well as your peace of mind. It is only roughly 9 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, or 20 minutes away, so that's that.
Pittsburgh International Airport is also fairly close by. It isn't super close that you won't be able to get some sleep at night, but it does the job well. The hotel was also clean, and had nice amenities. Breakfast was okay, I was able to eat it the 2 days we stayed here. The rooms were also very roomy and were comfortable. But the pillows and the water pressure in the shower leave more to be desired. The front desk was also friendly in helping out with good places to eat nearby.
Parking was also somewhat difficult, but as the day went on, was easier to find.
With its location, and services, this hotel served our needs adequately.
