| - I had a frustrating experience last week with this auto shop. I had a headlight out and my husband had been working so much that he didn't have time to replace it for me. You have to go up inside the wheel well to replace it, so it's not something I could do myself.
I went on their website and scheduled an appointment. I told them what I drive and what I needed done, along with the obligatory contact info; name, number, email address.
I got a call back within an hour from someone calling to confirm my appointment time the next day. I all also received a confirmation email. I thought that was a good sign. Little did I know...
I dropped my car off early the next day, and put my keys in the overnight key box. The whole day goes by, and no call from them. I get a text from the hubs asking if they called me because they left him a message to call back. I was thinking, wtf? I was in a meeting, and couldn't call them right away, but they finally called me at 3:15. Here's how that went:
Me: is my car done? Can I pick it up at 4?
Greulichs: oh,well we got your keys, but we didn't know what you wanted done.
Me: I had an appointment and told the guy what I needed over the phone.
Greulichs: Well, we didn't know you needed a headlight.
Me: wait, you just said you didn't know what I needed.
Greulichs: We had to look it up and find it.
Me: Why didn't you call me or email me and ask? Can you fix it by 4?
Greulichs: We didn't have your# or email address. You didn't give it to us.
Me: So, you didn't have the# you just called me on, or the email address you emailed yesterday?
Greulichs: oh,well I sent you an email this morning asking you to call me, and you didn't call back?
Me: so, you didn't have my# or email address, but then you did? And you couldn't email me, but then you said you did? You had no idea what I needed done, but then you did?
Greulichs: well, you didn't give us your info. (WOW). You can bring it back tomorrow and we'll take a look at it. It'll be $120 for the labor, plus parts.
Me(now pretty freaking annoyed): why would it take an hour to do this? It's just a headlight bulb!
Greulichs: we have to figure out what bulb you need.
Me: I offered to bring you a bulb! Does your Google not work there? You can easily look up which bulb. (Grrr)
So after having to bum a ride from a coworker back to Greulichs, the guy gives me the same B.S. excuses and lies. He completely blamed me for them dropping the ball on this.
Honestly, I'm glad they didn't do anything to my car. I would be pissed at having to pay them for this type of incompetence. Ha! I got it for free.
Anywho, I never did get that 2nd email they supposedly sent me asking me to call them. I checked my spam too, and nothing. They rummaged through my glove compartment and searched for my last name in their system and found my husband. That's why they called him. Good thing my last name isn't Smith or Jones. Who knows who they would have called or given my car to?
I would definitely not go back there for any actual repairs. Sheesh!
