| - This place is actually my go-to buffet in Vegas. I'm not saying it's the best ever, but for price, quality, and convenience, there's a a reason I keep coming back.
Convenience is a big plus for me. I normally stay at Mandalay Bay or the Delano, and the Luxor buffet is a really short walk away. I don't even have to leave the building since the casinos are attached. If I stayed elsewhere on the strip, I would admittedly change my go-to spot though.
Quality- I stay at Mandalay Bay and I'd still rather walk over than eat at Mandalay's own Bayside Buffet. Yes, Luxor isn't extravagant. If you're looking for king crab legs and lobster and the best cuts of steak, you're definitely going to be disappointed. Walk in knowing that this place offers the basic international fare, and you'll be satisfied.
Pricing- This place is expensive by your hometown standards, but it's not bad by Vegas standards. Plus, I always get the $40-45 all day wristband that lets you back in. If you time it right, that's at least three full meals! That's a steal in Vegas! The wristband also lets you into the buffet at Excalibur, but I believe Luxor is the better choice.
Service is usually alright, too. Even when there's a long line, the wait doesn't feel that bad, I'm usually seated within a reasonable amount of time for my group size. Everything, including drinks, is self service so you don't really have to interact with the staff. They're usually quick with picking up the empty plates on the table. There's nothing to really complain about.
