| - An okay place with decent food. I come here mainly because its within walking distance to my house, but no lie if McDonalds was closer I would go there. Pretty dingy, mediocre decor, but its quiet and cozy enough here for a Sunday morning chat with a friend.
I've had the tiramisu cake, the oreo cake, the tulip looking chocolate cup, the coffee, the 2 meat $3 sandwich, and the chicken caesar wrap from this bakery.
The sweets are honestly mediocre. Costco does tiramisu better and the oreo cake (or maybe it was black forest) was kind of stale the one time I tried it. It wasn't cheap either; for $2.75 a slice I'd be better off getting an entire $5 cake from Walmart. The chocolate cup was okay, but tasted kind of just like chocolate + whipped cream; nothing special. Honestly all of the cakes are standard fare that I have seen elsewhere for about the same price, so there's no particular need to go here.
The sandwich was pretty good, but it also wasn't that special. It tasted exactly as one would expect of meat and bread. It was toasted nicely though. Portion size was a bit small though, the sandwich was extremely thin so I would not expect it to fill me up even for breakfast. The wrap was probably the most overpriced. I opened it up and saw like 4 strips of chicken breast with 1 leaf of lettuce. For a $6 - 7 entree they really skimped on everything. The entire wrap was tiny and couldn't even pass as an appetizer. Extremely disappointing, especially since it took like 10 minutes to make. Coffee was passable; not as bad as Tim Hortons, but worse than McDonalds. Felt watered down and flavourless so I had to compensate for that with sugar.
