I have used many booking websites in the past and have never had an issue until I used Flight Network. My husband was unable to make it on a trip that we were going on so I called their customer service line to rebook the flight for another date. The representative that answered my call did not speak English as her first language, which I don't have a problem with as long as the person can understand what I'm asking and get the job done and this was not the case. She couldn't understand what I was asking her to do and was unable to explain the fees that I was going to be charged. After speaking with her for almost a hour and getting nowhere I asked to speak with a supervisor. She explained that all the supervisors were on lunch break and wouldn't be back for some time. I'm not sure if this was an excuse because she didn't want me to speak with someone or if they actually all took lunch at the same time but either scenario is ridiculous. Anyway, I offered to wait for them to get back and she placed me on hold. I sat on hold for 36 minutes before I hung up.
I called back and, of course, I got the same representative. At this point I was very frustrated because something as simple as changing a flight was turning into a couple hours. I asked her why I was on hold for so long and she said that the supervisors had come back and she hadn't transferred me right away so I ended up in line to speak to one of them. I thought this to be outrageous since I had asked over a hour ago to speak to a supervisor and I hadn't even been transferred right away.
I eventually spoke to a supervisor who also wasn't at all that helpful either. He kept telling the airline's policies for re booking over and over when I told him that he was incorrect. My mother works for Air Canada so I am very well aware of their policies plus you can read them on the website. What he was telling me didn't coincide with what I knew and could read online. They wanted to charge me almost $500 for change fees when the flight I was rebooking to was almost $300 less than the original flight. Flight Network charges a fee on top of the fee that the airline charges plus they won't allow you to use the difference in ticket price to pay for the change fees. The whole thing was just ridiculous. In the end he waved some of the fees and told me what a good deal I was getting. This was after almost 3 hours on the phone.
So what would I say about my experience with Flight Network? Horrible customer service. Huge scam. Would not recommend and would not use again.
