Yes the prices are high because you are paying for the experience as much as the food. (There's a restored carousel included with your meal!!!). This place is jam packed with entertainment. Most a kids fantasy and mine is almost 17 years old. She made us stop when she saw it from the road. ( we were passing through to breakfast somewhere downtown)
I think you have to know what to order. The French toast plates were AMAZING! Huge fluffy pieces of challah bread lightly dipped and grilled. And it's enough for two, possibly three people so share. The 3 of us should've only ordered two eye also had a side of corned beef, offered instead of bacon, with that.
I had Ella's plate: scrambled altogether: eggs, lox and onions with bagel. Delicious. Stick to the breakfast menu.
Waitress was great: covering a party of 5 adults plus 6 children next to us but was right there to refill drinks throughout.
This is such a fun place. Keep looking around and you'll see something new. Every table is some sort of game or toy. It's amazing all the antiques here.
The only reason this isn't five stars? Omg, the hostess. We almost walked out before she seated us. She looks like she would rather die than be there. Equally as miserable ringing up our $50 tab. Leaves you sad and this isn't a sad place. Too bad.
