  • I've been to Lawry's twice before and it was great but this was not a good experience. I asked the server for au gratin potatoes -- which I've had at Lawry's before and they are delicious -- but she refused to offer me any option to order them other than to say, "I'll check on that." When the carver came to the table I asked again and she said, "they charge an extra $10 for au gratin potatoes." Duh! I would have paid that if you would have just given me the option! The prime rib was tough. The server rarely came back to check on us.
