| - RUN! my experience from beginning to end with our coordinator Julie & Dr Littman was terrible!
we came to a seminar hosted by Dr Littman, in the presentation she was very animated & was very pleasant. this was not the case during treatment, she was completely different. her warmth was gone. at the seminar we were told by her we could choose to see her or Dr Severino. When we started our ivf journey Dr Severino was out of town, so we started the paperwork process with Dr Littman. from the beginning we could never get a return phone call. there was always confusion when it came to our paperwork. the office is very disorganized. we brought our own lab results from other doctors & the paperwork was lost twice. Dr Littman is also tardy to all of her appointments.
they gave us a blank calendar with NO dates on our medication protocol instruction sheet. we asked our coordinator Julie during our mediation education appointment when will we start the meds? it was not on the instruction sheet. she never gave us a date, she just said on the 3rd day of your period. this being our 1st IVF we had no idea what this calendar was supposed to look like & just accepted this information. we started our medication on the 3rd day of my period. after going through all of our medication we called the clinic. our coordinator then told us for the 1st time during this entire process, we were supposed to start on the 3rd day of our 2nd period. we're not mind readers, we didn't even know there would be a 2nd period. it incredibly upsetting. she then said that cycle was completely scrapped. all of that medication that we paid out of pocket for was wasted. we never got an apology from Dr Littman. Julie then told us Dr Littman was confused why I was in tears. we felt like another number, a paycheck, there was no compassion from her.
after that first scrapped cycle, we had 1 monitoring with Dr Severino. he was so gentle with the ultrasound probe, unlike Dr Littman, she uses hers like a sword (no exaggeration). we remembered at the seminar Dr Littman told us we could choose which Dr we could receive treatment from. Dr Severino had a great bedside manner, made us feel very comfortable & was punctual. we started scheduling all of our monitoring's early so i could have the vaginal ultrasounds done by Dr Severino. we then requested to switch Dr's but our request was denied. Dr Littman was 2 hours late for my egg retrieval & 1.5 hours late for my embryo transfer. there was never an apology for her tardiness.
we had to pay for 2 cycles of mediation out of pocket, we were treated terribly, & after all of that, the IVF was unsuccessful. we felt like another number there & decided to go somewhere else. we still have not conceived, but I am very happy with the level of service from my new clinic.
I will say I we did like some of the staff & had a good experience with the financial coordinator Lindsay, Dr Severino's coordinator Letty, & Dr Severino himself.
