Finally got around to Aureole on a recent trip and I was not disappointed. My wife and I were squeezed in at the last minute when we realized the bar for happy was full.
I had the tasting menu and glass of wine, while my wife went for the Blue Cheese crusted filet. It was nice that they allowed me to get the tasting course and not force it upon my wife since the menu makes it out to be that way. I appreciated their flexibility with it.
I loved every course that came out for my paired tasting course. Each side of the plate of a contrast of flavor yet worked perfectly together.
I was hoping to see more action in the wine vault, but other than that the amibiance of the restaurant was light.
In general, the menu options and the atmosphere was refreshing for a person like myself who has hit a lof of the steakhouses in Vegas which usually try to go with a darker room and seldom offer tasting menus.
