| - Over many years, I've tried many different yoga studios, but what always bothered me about them were the fact that they a) smell like body odour (and if heaven forbid, you forget your mat and you have to borrow/rent one, it inevitably smells like BO.), b) their preachy lifestyle/environmental messaging (this coming from someone who works in the field of sustainability) c) lofty claims like "this move will detoxify your liver". All that aside, it's those sorts of things that prevented me from committing to a regular "yoga practice".
That being said, several of my friends had told me about how great Mystic Pointe yoga was, and after moving to the neighbourhood I've started coming regularly. There is an incredible variety of class times, the teachers are super friendly, there is tons of equipment (that doesn't smell!) and you always feel very comfortable here (they give out free water too!) The hallway is a bit smooshed and the bathroom is slightly bizarre in that it's attached to the main yoga room and the roof is open, as long as you take care of your business and change before class you are golden!
I will of course be back again soon.
