| - Don't even think about living here. Apartments are outdated and shoddy. Air conditioner is old and inefficient and filthy, full of black, sketchy-looking grime. We pay a monthly fee for pest control yet the place is overrun with ants. There are far, far better properties for similar rent. Most frustrating thing about living here, in this old property, is maintenance. There is a constant demand for maintenance and we can count on having to resubmit maintenance tickets because they aren't fixed the first time or they're poorly repaired and the problem reoccurs in short order. And in some cases, they seem to be ignored altogether, being closed in the tracking system without being addressed. We have a parking lot that drains poorly when it rains, pooling in one corner near our front door. Water becomes ankle-deep in this parking area and residents must wade to their cars. I requested multiple times that a drain in this flooded area be repaired so it doesn't pool but they did nothing. I left town and while gone there was a torrential rainstorm and I returned home to find one of my cars flooded. Water above the bottoms of the doors and the interior of the car ruined. Dripping faucets not repaired, multiple attempts to fix a noisy fan to no avail, toilets that leak, ants swarming outside, gaps around doors, doors that stick and make loud noises when opened. We currently have water leaking around tile and into the wall around our shower. It has done so for months and I requested maintenance. They added a small amount of caulk and closed the ticket. Now tile is falling off with a chunk of wall exposed and there is major wall damage from water. Today they looked at it and told us to put plastic and duct tape over it ourselves while they figure out what to do. Unbelievable. We've had a ticket open for over a month for a wall that has deteriorated around a window, creating a gap that lets water run into the bedroom but the ticket remains open and there is no activity to repair it. Need help from the office? Don't bother calling. Seldom answer the phone. Worth noting though, that they're painting the exterior, making the outside look nice and well-kept. All an illusion. Landscaping is beautiful near the leasing office but elsewhere is a different story. Outside of our door is a trashy area with 2 scrawny and dying bushes, bare dirt, broken sticks....looks terrible. Can't say strongly enough that there are far, far better options than Crown Court.
