  • The short: the rudeness extends to the care providers as well. They do not care about you and something has to be done about their patient mistreatment!!! Please pay attention to the reviews when picking a doctor! You are a patient with an illness you did not elect to have, you deserve to be treated with respect, care, and compassion while still getting expert level medical care. Your time is valuable and your health is the top priority of your life! We just left an initial appointment for my husband and I cannot believe the lack of basic healthcare fundamentals we were faced with. Patient care and advocacy are taught immersed throughout the entire medical professional educational experience. Those fundamentals are started from day one and if you are handed a certification upon graduation and you still act more like a death row executioner then a caring and compassionate medical professional you should perhaps take a close look at your empathy levels...are you human??? We were seen by a ms. Kelly M. Coleman, PA-C and I still have yet to get the office and her NPI and UPIN. She treated my husband with blatant and obvious disrespect. She decided from the onset that she would take personal offense and become defensive to my husband's ignorance about his illness. She stated multiple times "well you should be glad you are not in Afghanistan where you would not have a choice." A choice for what????? What are you insinuating?? There are many reasons I am glad to not be in Afghanistan and thankfully my freedom was won by the blood of my very own family members...how dare you respond so carelessly, know your audience ma'am! She did not take time to explain a plan of action and I had to ask her numerous times to explain what she purposed we do to get my husband back to health. Let me repeat that in case it did not come across comprehensively....we had to ask multiple times for our medical professional to explain and discuss in a common way what medical plan of action they have for us. Ms. Collman are we in a third world country or not???? Are you going to provide medical care or are you going to withhold information because we said something or look a certain way that offends you? I called the office manager to hopefully give them an opportunity to rectify our terrible experience and spoke with Richard Peterson. Mr. Peterson apologized for our experience but essentially explained that we may seek medical care wherever we would like and that is a decision we need to make. I imagine there are so many individuals who feel forced to seek medical help where they can find it when they are ill and feel at the end of their rope so there is no need to bring in business or provide exceptional care. This is not the case for my husband because I am healthy and able bodied. I am and have always been a fierce advocate for the people I care about and that extends to anyone who may go to this facility and be mistreated. I will not stand by idly while sick people most in need of care and compassion get bullied and treated like cattle. Mr. Peterson explained that Ms. collman does not get this feedback from patients often which leads me to believe what I already gathered, this is a personal attack. There is something that we said or a certain way we look that made her upset enough to provide sub par patient care. Please do not make the mistake of putting your health and wellness in the hands of the first doctor you land on. You have a duty to your self to fiercely protect you well being! You deserve the most professional and expert level care and it is out there. We will be speaking with our wallets and seeking ongoing medical care elsewhere. I am also much of a bulldog and will be making sure a written and formal complaint is placed on the desk of the person best suited to handle this kind of patient care neglect. Since that person is not Mr. Peterson I will be seeking help elsewhere by way of patient advocacy through our insurance provider and BBB and the office of professions of need be, until I know that Ms. Collman has been thoroughly trained in patient bedside manner. It should be noted Ms. Collman, and apology goes a long way.
