| - I'm disappointed. I've been here three times now and the first two times were amazing. I'm not kidding, they took care of us, the waiter was friendly and they even changed out my salmon when it wasn't up to their standards,again amazing. BUT this third time was not a shining star like I'd hoped it would be.
I brought my cousins from out of town they love Italian food! I had such nice service the two previous times I just knew they'd love it here because of the good food and the good service.
Our server was very neglectful. It took her a very long time to come take our drink order. Which we weren't ready for because they didn't give us a cocktail list. So we order appetizers, calamari and the bruschetta, and she got the cocktail menus, brought them to us, and left again. Our appetizers came and her second return took much too long again. So we ordered drinks and She carded me, my boyfriend and my cousin which is fine,I'm 26, he's 23, and he's 22, so we're all used to that and I don't fault her for it. She took our drink orders, and food orders and walked away without taking our menus from us or saying another thing. Now it was four of us sitting at our small table with two appetizers, a bread bowl and bread plates and all the extras you can think of on the table. There was no where for us to put anything let alone menus we no longer needed. My boyfriend asked the hostess who was walking by to take the menus and mentioned that our waitress wasn't really caring for us.
Next thing I know the manager came over and apologized for the lack of caring and for her not taking the menus which seemed super nice. It reminded me of the other times we were here when they took such good care of us. But that wasn't really why he was at our table that was just glanced over. He really just wanted to see our IDs too. I'm a reasonable person and I understand needing to be carded but by TWO different people at a very nice sit down restaurant just seems over kill to me. Especially when my already non caring waitress walked away acting like she's going to put our orders in. At least warning us that you just want you manager to check our IDs would have made it feel less degrading. Honestly this whole thing made me feel pretty down on this place. It's really disappointing and severely changes my opinion of this place which sucks because we really loved it before this.
The food was good and thats the only reason it's four stars and not three, but I just don't need to pay that amount of money to feel degraded and unhappy after I have a meal somewhere.
