| - The long wait has finally ended and Popbar has finally opened at my main hangout spot: Westgate Entertainment District!
My friends were coming into town and we all decided we wanted a late night dessert, why not try Popbar? We arrived at about 10pm and we were greeted such a nice and friendly staff. The service was quick and efficient. Workers thoroughly explained the processes of how Popbars are made fresh daily, and also asked up if we had any nut allergies to ensure our safety.
Popbars start at about $3.99 and $0.50 for toppings and another $0.50 for any dippings. Yes, a little pricy, but I guess because the toppings and dippings are UNLIMITED, it's hard to cringe.
Some toppings and dippings off the top of my head are coconut flakes, milk chocolate, mint chocolate, waffle cone, almonds, pistachios and more.
The setting is nice, there is a good amount of seating, but I wish there was more, I could see it easily getting packed on a hot summer Friday night with customers wanting to cool off for just a bit. Especially because both time I was there, I stepped out into the Arizona heat and my topping were melting off my gelato pop :(.
I did docked one star: yes, Popbar is yummy, If I'm ever at Westgate, you can catch me there, is it somewhere I would go the distance for...? I don't think so. It's tasty but I haven't yet had cravings for it. I also think the pricing is a little high, but that won't stop me from completely coming back to cool off.
