  • Wowzah...! I finally purchased my own car after sticking with the car my parents bought me 10 years ago, paid off. LOL. It was a good run. Now it's time to hand it down to my teenage brother, and make me a real adult like most of the world now. Anyway... I did my research and knew I wanted a Kia Soul based off of national reviews, but I was open to the idea of getting any Kia model as my second choice. Y'all gotta understand that my family and I love Toyota, so I had to constantly reassure myself that this is what I wanted. So... Getting there, we were greeted and shown around by Kerry. Nice kid that was extremely patient with my mom who's honestly one of the most assertive individuals you'll ever meet in your life, and she was toned down because of my horrified reactions. I wanted a wingman to help me navigate terms and know whether or not I was being taken advantage of. Surprisingly enough, she actually got along with Kerry and Joe (general manager). Kerry and Joe listened to what she had to say and wanted, while being respectful of me. It goes back to my unspoken rule: "If you can make my family happy, then I'm happy." Her only criticisms that I can't argue with: 1. Kerry told my mom the car with a lower price tag listed on their website wasn't it initially, but my mom had verified it with the VIN number, so they matched it. 2. She's on the fence about not getting the $500 Visa right away, which is what persuaded her to even bring me on the lot when I wanted to go to a different dealership. They made a copy for us to bring back later to get it with my green slips (as y'all can see as a tip from the day of). Other awesome people was the financing manager and the rep that helped me ease into my 2017 Kia Soul +. Chill guys. I was sold onto getting the additional warranty that included gap insurance for an extra $30/month tacked onto my original deal. My biggest points of appreciation was that they helped get me a better financed deal than what I was pre-approved for before going in, as well as honoring the online price tag of the car, and using the rebates as a down payment. I'm a happy camper thus far. Hoping all goes just as smooth when I go back for my green slips and the Visa special, and later when I'm getting my car serviced. Should be a given that I love my new car so far. I've decided to name her Snow XD Stay tuned for future updates!
