| - The owner acts very friendly- like a father figure almost, and the minute you question him (whether you don't understand pricing or the car issue) he defends every word and doesn't listen to the costumer. One other employee that I dealt with was the same way. The owner promised me a tow truck "with in minutes" to tow me to his station and he'd dropped the charges if I got my work done with him. I agreed, however the tow truck came 45 minutes later, as I sat in my car (outside temp: 100*). I knew it sounded too good to be true; the charges were still dropped as mentioned before. I explaind to the owner what I thought may be wrong with my car because I was having previous issues, just so he wouldn't have to spend hours trying to find something. I explained I wasn't 100% sure and to please let me know if it was something else. It was in fact something else, I agreed to having him fix it (car was undriveable, no other choice). In the stress of everything I realized it cost more than I could afford that day. I told him I'd come back the next day to pay/pick up my car. The store claims to offer financing but none was offered to me, I would have taken it. I called the owner the next morning to ask what the break down was of the total cost because I forgot and he got very angry with me, claiming I was questioning his store. All I wanted to do was call a few other shops to make sure I was paying the right amount, I wasn't going to take my car and not pay, I just didn't have time to research the issue when it happened. The owner went on to lecture me about how he bet I would bring in 40 pages from the internet on different prices; how I should find out why Outback steaks cost $16.99 and why the Bellagio can charge $200; he told me to search for plane tickets 30 days out then check back 3 days out and figure out why the price went up. All of this actually made me think he was screwing me on prices. I apologized because clearly it was offensive to him that "me", the consumer who has the right to compare prices, actually asked for the individual prices. He also got mad because he thought I was calling him a liar as I thought one thing was wrong with my car yet it was something else. I clearly re-explained what I typed above. I told him I didn't mean to strike a chord and upset him; I'd be by later that day to pick up my car and he hung up on me.
Now, the prices were right, I'm new to Nevada and I called places I used in the past because I knew the employees, I felt it'd be a good comparison. So I have no complaints about the price for parts however I was charged $95 just for someone to look at my car. Most shops charge around $70. I was at his mercy, my car broke down 20+ miles from my house, I had to go somewhere locally.
In all, I would never go back to this place. The owner is the kind of person who is super friendly until you (the customer) speak up. Horrible customer service. If he would have been nice to me when I called back, I'd probably kept going back even to get my oil changed. If I like a company I stick with them, no matter the distance.
