| - Why why why must restaurants on the strip disappoint me so?
The skinny: Menu is very limited, food is overpriced, service is bad....the only positive thing about this restaurant is that it's pretty. And there's a DJ?
The food:
Shared the Hot Rocks, which sounded and looked way cooler than the dish ended up being. It's like trying to be a cool version of KBBQ, where you cook your own sliver of beef on a lava rock? But the beef was mediocre at best, and for $21 it was not worth it.
They try to sell this place as a steak house... but that pic you see up at the top of the page with the steak and melted butter + asparagus? LIES. The petit filet was dry, and when it came out the butter was definitely still cold and not half melted.
($49)
I ordered the "Stack" burger - which was overall a good burger. Nice thick patty (Kobe beef, which made it nice and juicy) and bibb lettuce and tomatoes etc were all fresh. I ordered it medium, and it was pink in the middle. BUT it came with the WORST seasoned fries I've ever tried. I don't think I've ever come across a french fry I didn't like, until now :( How do you screw up french fries? They were hard, cold, but yet spicy. Oh, and it came with a "dipping sauce"...aka ketchup -___-;;
($34)
My friend ordered the Salmon, which came with this crispy fried waif of a rice cracker, which was just really really bland. And the spinach was probably the healthiest spinach I've ever tried....straight up just boiled.
($38)
Overall, the for what it cost, the food was grossly disappointing. Also, very limited vegetarian options.
The Service:
I hate to rag on wait staff, I do. And I get that it was a busy Fri night. But this place was like "amateur hour". Our waiter was a little rude, did not know anything about the menu, never refilled my soda, and it took close to 1.5 hours to finally get our food (reservation at 8:30, we did not get our food until after 10pm). Seriously, this is the 2nd slowest restaurant in LV!
Definitely won't be back.
