Like the other commenter said, this place has a HUGE issue with how it treats women. I've noticed it for years. It's not only the annoying "Bella" nonsense, which happens a LOT, it's also the staff who IGNORE female customers. Countless times I've stood at the counter trying to be noticed by one of the staff so I can order, and they see right through me and turn to a male customer. I'm tall, so it's not like they can't see me over the counter. And even after I make eye contact, they STILL do this! With a hidden camera you could do sociological study of the gender dynamics in this place. As a result, I go there far less often. Their products are pretty good, if expensive. Unfortunately the other butcher nearby has some issues too, so maybe the neighbourhood needs a feminist butcher shop.
